I would highly recommend this cottage for folks who like being away from the high dollar busy beach rentals. Not only have I rented this property several times, but have also stayed at the owner's other property. The owner, Mike, is very accommodating and truly wants you to enjoy your stay at his cottages. If there's any problems, he's very responsive!! Both cottages have all the amenities of home and are clean and comfortable! The location is perfect for me...just a few minutes to the Ocean Isle Beach or a short drive to Myrtle Beach or Wilmington.

Would consider moving to the area. Not on the island, but a nice quiet place in Shangri La where Thrush is located. The two private piers were nice. We could fish off the pier or just have our morning coffee listening to the birds and water. It was very secluded. You would not even know there was a house there unless you drive down to the end of the road. The back deck was very inviting. We cooked out there a couple of nights. It was  close  to the beach so that you could go every day, but retreat away from all the tourists on the island. We got the honor of meeting the owner Mike. He was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we need.
